Phenomenology of a fake Inert Doublet Model

We introduce a new way of modeling the physics beyond Standard Model by considering fake, strictly off-shell degrees freedom: fakeons. To demonstrate approach and exemplify its reach, we re-analyze phenomenology Inert Doublet under assumption that second doublet is fakeon. Remarkably, fake avoids most stringent $Z$-pole constraints regardless chosen mass scale, thereby allowing for presence effects well below electroweak scale. Furthermore, absence on-shell propagation prevents fakeons from inducing missing energy signatures in collider experiments. The distinguishing features model appear at loop level, where modify Higgs boson $h\to\gamma\gamma$ decay width trilinear coupling. running parameters proceeds as usual case. Therefore, can also ensure stability vacuum. Our work shows are valid alternative to tools particle building, with potential shape paradigm, significance existing experimental towards must necessarily be reconsidered.
